1.Thanks to the good offices of the Veterans Service Officer in Chicopee I was able to obtain a copy of the service record of  my cousin Joseph Bessette who served in World War 2 with the 22nd Regiment in the European Theater of Operations. I found the story unfolding from my research of his unit extremely compelling and a very worthwhile addition to the collection of military stories included in our families’ history. Please take the time to read this addition to our web site because we owe it to our departed family to not forget what they did for our country during one of its greatest conflicts, one which asked for and received tremendous sacrifices from the young men of that time.

2. I have added a new item to the main menu- PDF Files for Printing. While the postings of Family Narratives, Military Stories and Family Writings in HTML format provides a good format for viewing the items, it is not very good for printing because the page sequencing of the original document is not retained. Those of you who wish to print out some of the stories will find that the PDF version will provide a much better format for printing. You can access the listing of PDF Files available by clicking on the PDF item on the main menu.
