I have updated my personal military story which is contained in the Collection of Military Stories posted to the family web site to include more background about the Korean Conflict. Korea has been called the "forgotten war" coming between WW2 and Viet Nam, both of which received considerably more media attention than the little ‘Police Action" of the early 50's. Most veterans of that conflict, including myself, recall people wondering what we had been up to the previous year or two. When we arrived in Seattle after our 17 day trip we were greeted by an army band and little else except for the few that had family living in the Seattle area. The band greeted us with that old tune "If I knew you was coming I’d have baked a cake". So if any of you are interested in an abbreviated version of those days you can check out the rewrite.

Regards
