New Feature added January 2008. From the Charts Section of each family tree two links have been added which will bring you to the ROOTSWEB World Family Tree site.  There you can either view, for each family, a narrative description of each generation going back to the earliest generation in the data base.

These generational reports are called "Ahnentafel" in the vernacular of genealogical reporting. They can be printed giving those interested a nice written report of their family line.

In addition, for those wishing to view the report commencing with their own parents or grandparents, there is also a link to the data base itself from which you can find your own lineage and obtain an "Ahnentafel" customized to your own family.

INTRODUCTION TO OUR FAMILY TREES:

Three sets of family genealogy data are included in this compilation.  In keeping with basic privacy needs it was determined best to limit the information included for living persons. Accordingly,  only minimum information on living persons is included in these public postings. All other personal information has been filtered out. Those family members wishing to access the complete unfiltered versions may do so by obtaining the CD version of our family web site. More information on this will be provided at a later date.

Much of the contents has been researched by myself and source records are noted. I believe that most of the information compiled is accurate but mistakes happen. If any discrepancies are found please notify me and I will make the required update.

For those seeking a narrative  overview of the four families please click here.

VIEWING THE FAMILY TREES -

1. Select the family record of your choice from the listing at the bottom of this page.

2. This will bring you to a page offering a selection of options. You can access the data base from any of the options, Index, Surname or charts.  From surnames you can select the initial of the surname that you wish to view.

3.  Select the family to be viewed  and then the specific individual.

4. Click on the pop up pedigree tab to view parents and grandparents. From there you can navigate to either generation where further pop up pedigree tabs may be selected to view earlier generations in the tree.

5. A number of family photos have been incorporated with the family trees. An icon of a small camera will display an image if you click on the icon. When there are several photos posted a listing is sometimes included

6. There are two types of charts available from the main menu, Pedigree and Descendant Charts. Click on charts and you will be brought to a menu of available charts. You can navigate to any individual from the charts. Also there are links to Family Group Sheets and also personalized narratives of family ancestry (Ahnentafel).

7. Links to narratives and stories of  persons in the family tree are included in that persons data space.

8. Data sources are referenced. In the event the source shows  "Unknown author" that means the data file was copied from another family file where the source is recorded.

You can view the records of choice by clicking on the link shown above.
